This is an impressive pair of stately brass torchiere floor lamps in the style of Tommi Parzinger, circa 1940. They are made from both solid brass and cast brass, with elegant cylinder bodies that, in a magical feat of design meets function, pull down to the turn lamps on and off. The wiring and sockets have been replaced and the switch mechanism works perfectly. The shaft of one has some finish loss and is slightly lighter than the other one, but it still presents as brass in color. That same lamp has an ever-so-slightly different brass feature separating the shroud from the post, but this is something that is only noticed under very close scrutiny, and does not affect them looking like a pair. The shrouds each have a couple minor dings and the bases show some aesthetic pitting but none of these issues detract for the overall beauty of this rare and cool pair. All in all, they are in good vintage condition and will bring a certain majesty to any room.
61.5" H; 7" diameter x 8" H (shroud), base is 11.25" diameter)
