The photos of this amazing mantel clock don’t show you have heavy it is. They do show, however, the gorgeous chrome and black combination that, along with the circles, puts it firmly in the Art Deco sphere. It is made of chromed and lacquered brass (hence the weight), and is outfitted with a state-of-the art clock that is a Hammond All Electric motor from 1938 (if we are to believe the writing on the bottom, which we do). There are only the most minor signs of wear which you have to search for to see—the impact is one of worldly sophistication. It keeps time and runs quiet. A rare and authentically Deco clock.
